The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management (MoHADM) of Southwest State of Somalia (SWSS) is the principal state institution responsible for managing and coordinating all humanitarian affairs and disaster management activities in SWS. The ministry was officially established in August 2017.

III. Description of the position | ||||||||||||
The Ministry of humanitarian Affairs & Disaster Management, SWS (MOHADM), is seeking to hire Admin, Finance and Logistics Assistant, WFP. This project supports the provision of technical assistance to the MOHADM, SWS in develop robust policies and legislations that prevent aid commercialization within the humanitarian sector in South West State. The Admin, Finance and Logistics Assistant will be responsible to the preparation of financial documents, such as invoices, vouchers, and financial statements.
This position is 12 months but may be renewed depending on performance and availability of funds. The MOHADM SWS invites applicants who are citizens of Somalia for this position. The Humanitarian Policy Development expert will work under the supervision of SWS Ministry of humanitarian & Disaster Management. Achievement of Deliverables will be approved by the minister. Payment will be made upon certification by supervisor including time sheets for actual dates of work and performance in accordance with activities and deliverables as reported in the activity report.

IV. Duties and Responsibilities
|
||||||||||||
· Provide administrative support to the Ministry, including maintaining records, organizing meetings, and managing correspondence.
· Assist in the procurement process, including obtaining quotes, preparing purchase orders, and maintaining vendor relationships. · Support the organization of workshops, conferences, and events, including logistical arrangements and participant coordination. · Assist in financial management tasks, including budget preparation, expense tracking, and financial reporting. · Coordinate logistics for project activities, including venue booking, transportation arrangements, and procurement of necessary materials. · Support the coordination of logistics for field visits, including arranging accommodations, transportation, and security. · Assist in the preparation of financial documents, such as invoices, vouchers, and financial statements. |

V: Qualifications
|
||||||||||||
Education:
· University degree in any of the disciplines under Social Sciences, Humanitarian Management and/or · Bachelor degree in Economics or related discipline from a recognized university Experience: 3 years’ experience, of which must have been in the public or nonprofit service

VI: Skill Requirements
|
||||||||||||
· Knowledge of working with local Government bodies and community
· Skill in organizing work of self and others · Governance and Leadership and development · Proficient with Microsoft office package · Problem-solving techniques · Fluency in an English language and Somali – Knowledge of Maay is an added advantage |
