The project aims to strengthen resilience for internationally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees and host communities in Baidoa District through an increase in employment opportunities especially for young people and women and supporting the local government, non-governmental and private-sector actors to achieve a higher employment rate for the target groups.
Tasks of the expert
- Support of baseline and endline assessment and impact monitoring, particularly on issues of gender and conflict sensitivity.
- Support regular and timely reporting.
- Ensure good communication and flow of information within the baseline and endline assignment and impact monitoring and with GIZ.
- Participate in the operational planning, management and monitoring of activities and measures.
Requirements
Qualifications of the expert
- Education/training: University degree (bachelor’s) in social sciences or gender studies, or political sciences or conflict studies or human rights.
- Languages: Knowledge of English C1 and Somali C1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- General professional experience: 5 years of professional experience in gender issues or conflict sensitivity and migration in the field of international development cooperation.
- Specific Professional Experience: 3 years of professional experience in third party monitoring or gender issues and conflict sensitivity.
- Regional Experience: 1 year of work experience in Baidoa District, Somalia.
- Development cooperation (DC) experience: 5 years of experience working on DC projects.
