| The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management (MoHADM) of Southwest State of Somalia (SWSS) is the principal state institution responsible for managing and coordinating all humanitarian affairs and disaster management activities in SWS. The ministry was officially established in August 2017.

| III. Description of the position | ||||||||||||
| The Ministry of humanitarian Affairs & Disaster Management, SWS (MOHADM), is seeking to hire Outreach Senior Officer, WFP. This project supports the provision of technical assistance to the MOHADM, SWS in Conduct information needs assessments to identify information gaps and prioritize data collection efforts.
This position is 12 months but may be renewed depending on performance and availability of funds. The MOHADM SWS invites applicants who are citizens of Somalia for this position. The Outreach Senior Officer will work under the supervision of SWS Ministry of humanitarian & Disaster Management. Achievement of Deliverables will be approved by the minister. Payment will be made upon certification by supervisor including time sheets for actual dates of work and performance in accordance with activities and deliverables as reported in the activity report.

| IV. Duties and Responsibilities
|

| · Establish and maintain a database and information management system for disaster and emergency-related data.
· Collect, consolidate, and analyze data from various sources to produce regular situation reports. · Ensure the timely and accurate dissemination of information to relevant stakeholders. · Support the development of early warning systems and risk assessment tools. · Conduct information needs assessments to identify information gaps and prioritize data collection efforts. |

| V: Qualifications
|
||||||||||||
| Education:
· University degree in any of the disciplines under Social Sciences, Humanitarian Management and/or · Bachelor degree in Research or related discipline from a recognized university Experience: 1 year experience, of which must have been in the public or nonprofit service

| VI: Skill Requirements
|
||||||||||||
| · Knowledge of working with local Government bodies and community
· Skill in organizing work of self and others · Governance and Leadership and development · Proficient with Microsoft office package · Problem-solving techniques · Fluency in an English language and Somali – Knowledge of Maay is an added advantage |
