Introduction
Wadajir Rural Development Organization (WARDO) a civil society organization established in 2005 by group of Somali humanitarian and development workers who were dedicated and committed to social developments through education and youth development, agriculture and livelihoods, protection, emergency response and water and sanitation programs.
Wadajir Rural Development Organization (WARDO) is a registered and operational Non-Governmental Organization in South and Central Somalia, WARDO was registered in 2005 by the Federal Government of Somalia. The organization has its main office in Mogadishu and Baidoa, with regional offices in the other 4 FMS of South and Central Somalia (Jubaland, Galmudug, Southwest, and Hir-Shabelle).
Project description
WARDO in collaboration with UNDP Somalia is implementing a project to support the area Programme for the South-West State of Somalia on Governance, Peacebuilding, Conflict and Resilience (GPCR-3). This project seeks to create conditions for change through the humanitarian-development-peace nexus using an area-based approach to reach communities to increase their resilience to conflict and climate crisis.
It takes a holistic and integrated approach to early recovery and development, using the Six Signature solutions and brings together all the results areas in the CO under one hat. The project establishes an inclusive consultation platform for reconciliation and peacebuilding in communities, including Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and host communities, with a heavy emphasis on women and youth, who will engage with local governments to prioritize and have a say in development priorities in their areas.
Funds will be allocated to reconciliation, justice, security, economic empowerment, and rehabilitation of services, in particular, to increase resilience against droughts and mitigate risks of conflicts.
Required activities.
Dear bidder, under this cash for work CFW project in Barawe, the following are the activities required to be accomplished by the awarded bidder/supplier company.
- Construction of four 4 water Kiosks in Baraawe
- Rehabilitation and maintenance of three 3 Markets in Baraawe
Dear bidder your role and contribution will be the provision of the construction material, and equipment as per the enclosed annex A, upon selection and award of the legitimate supplier, it is required to supply the set equipment, material, and other tools for the construction of the aforementioned markets and water kiosks.
Potential bidders (suppliers and companies) who are willing to contribute to this competition are encouraged to come forward, and it is open to the registered companies and suppliers in Southwest state.
